FUTURA SPECIMEN BOOK-BOOK&COVER#04

2024
Adobe Photoshop/InDesign
This project focuses on the geometric sans-serif typeface Futura, presented through a comprehensive specimen book that explores its history, structural features, design philosophy, and contemporary applications.

Originally designed by German typographer Paul Renner in 1927, Futura stands as a landmark in modernist type design, celebrated for its clean geometry and rational aesthetics. This publication includes timeline graphics, weight displays, grid systems, and poster mockups to illustrate the typeface’s evolution and ongoing relevance.

Visually, the book employs minimalist color palettes and strict typographic layouts that reflect Futura’s emphasis on order and functionalism, while incorporating contemporary graphic treatments to create a dialogue between classic and modern design languages.

This project is a research-driven exploration of typographic systems, visual structure, and design ideology.
